Contemporary Craft Biennial

Visions of Catalonia is an event promoted by the Consortium of Commerce Crafts and Fashion (CCAM) in collaboration with the Catalonia Association of Art Galleries (GAC). The aim is to spread new expressions of contemporary crafts and visual art by local creators, promoting and recognising the techniques, craftsmanship and use of materials by the creators, as well as the concepts behind their work and creation.

Visions of Catalonia aims to publicise local artists and artisans who develop new expressions of art and contemporary crafts, on both a local and international level.

An event that takes place every two years, driven by the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion (CCAM) with the collaboration of the Art Galleries Association of Catalonia (GAC).

In this first edition, the aim is to spread the work of the creators focusing on the concept, the technique, the function and the use of materials by the artists.

The selection features works made in Catalonia. The creators at some point, or in all their production have utilised one of the diverse artisan techniques reflecting the mastery of the trade in their works.
