Carmen Collell (1951, Vic,) works in ceramics with a clear interest in emptiness and colour. The first concept brings the work closer to the sculptural and architectural discourse, the second to painting. This does not however, create a hybrid work, but instead develops formally and conceptually, a ceramic with great technical mastery, enriched with contributions from other disciplines. The delimitation of the void, that is, of a space deprived of matter, creates an interior-exterior duality, which is sometimes resolved with an expansive energy from the inside out, and containment geometries that preserve the secret of the interior space.
