Ruth Cepedano

Ruth Cepedano (1972, Barcelona,) began her relationship with the artistic disciplines in 1992 through the path of the image, through video, and especially photography. However, her work activity took place outside the artistic field, and it was not until 2007 that she began to discover ceramics. Three years later, motivated by the infinite possibilities offered by this field, she decided to study artistic ceramics at the Escuela Superior de Diseño y Arte Llotja, Barcelona.

She was the winner of the awards, Diputación de Valencia at the XIII Bienal Internacional de Cerámica de Manises 2017, Second Prize at the 17 edición de CERCO, Premio Internacional de Cerámica Contemporánea, (Zaragoza, 2017), Premio Pujol i Bausis at the 18th Bienal de cerámica de Esplugues Angelina Alós 2016 (International Competition, Barcelona) and the XII Premio Nacional de Cerámica Ciudad de Castellón 2014, in addition to other awards and mentions.
