The aim was to meld tradition, timelessness and the sobriety of everything that has to withstand the passage of time.
The chairs and furniture by Vergés are the result of the melting pot of experience, drive, quality and design. They are the handiwork of a family business set up in Tortellà, a town in the Alta Garrotxa region, which has been based in the same place since its foundation almost 40 years ago. This consistency helps understand the business’ philosophy, its attitude and its way of working.
The Bernardes collection, created by Andreu Carulla, its intended to capture the image of austerity and discretion that is associated with medieval, Romanesque convents. The result of this suggestive idea is to meld tradition, timelessness and the sobriety of everything that has to withstand the passage of time. The comfortable, sophisticated Bernardes collection, whether the chairs, armchairs or benches, combine beechwood, upholstered fabric or leather, and handcrafted wickerwork that make them robust and long-lasting.
