Jordi Marcet Rosa Vila-Abadal

Jordi Marcet (1949, Barcelona,) studied ceramics at the Escuela Massana and also studied at the escuela de diseño EINA. He was the president of the Asociación de Ceramistas de Cataluña for a temporary period.

Rosa Vila Abadal (1950, Barcelona,) studied ceramics at the Escuela Massana. She has been temporarily responsible for the ceramic promotion committee of the Asociación de Ceramistas de Cataluña and a member of the ACC’s board of directors.

Jordi Marcet and Rosa Vila Abadal are both members of the Academia Internacional de Cerámica. They are ‘master ceramic artisans’, a distinction awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya, in recognition of their work in this specialty. Their work is extensive. In addition, they have curated exhibitions of different artists, as well as group exhibitions of ceramics.

They have provided lectures for museums and schools. They have also carried out workshops for schools and ceramic workshops, and they are the authors of different prologues and articles for catalogues and specialist magazines.
