Carla Mañosas

Carla Mañosas (1992, Barcelona,) is a textile artist. Living with nature is the source that inspires her practice, through the observation and interpretation of existing natural forms. She is interested in artisan processes, adapting traditional techniques to a contemporary design.

She has a degree in Art and Design from the Escuela Massana, UAB, and obtained a mention in Applied Arts in the textile field, in 2014. She teaches on the University degree course of Art and Design at the Escuela Massana.

Carla Mañosas has exhibited artistic works such as Plastic Wave, selected in the ‘Mejor Diseño del Año, Premios FAD de Arte, 2021’. ‘Primavera de paper’, selected piece at ‘Exhibitions enREDades; ART + SOCIAL + TEXTIL’17.’ She was also selected by the Escuela Massana as a representative of ‘Premio Prestigia los Premios Nacionales de Artesanía, 2015’ and a series of selected pieces in the ‘Exposición Artesanía y Sostenibilidad; al CCAM, 2017-18,’ ‘L’escorça de la meva memòria, Contextile 2014, Guimaraes.
