MADOLA

MADOLA (M. Àngels Domingo Laplana) (1944, Barcelona,) studied ceramics at the Escuela Massana in Barcelona. She has a degree in Sculpture and a PHD from the Facultad de Bellas Artes, Barcelona, and has also exhibited in solo and group exhibitions since 1966, in different locations across Spain and abroad.

She has won numerous awards, and she is a member of the Academia Internacional de la Cerámica, and the Real Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes in Barcelona.

She is invited by different public and private institutions to give seminars and conferences on large-format ceramics, especially for public spaces.

She has works in various collections, as well as in national and international museums. Alongside her work in ceramics, she has been working on glass and paper, and creating graphic work since 1980. Since 1988 she has been working on large-format works for public and private urban spaces in Catalonia and abroad.
