Tura Sanglas

Tura Sanglas Sanz (1992, Ordis,) grew up in L’Empordà, where she studied in a rural school. Even though she now lives in Barcelona, her roots are still there.

Her artistic training took place at the instituto Alexandre Deulofeu, Figueres, at home with her mother (Carme Sanglas, the painter) and at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de Barcelona (Postgraduate degree in Artistic Production and Research). She also did a residency at the UWE, in Bristol, England. Her interests lie in materials and objects of all kinds and various techniques, and it is from here that she begins to display her artistic work. She has won several awards, exhibited in different spaces across Catalonia, as well as various collective exhibitions in cities across Europe.
