With materiality, craftsmanship and sustainability in mind, Andreu Carulla creates beautiful objects with a timeless appeal. Following his childhood dream of becoming an inventor, Catalan-born Andreu Carulla founded his eponymous product design studio in 2006, which has become one of the most versatile design firms working in Spain today.

Bolet is both an exercise in functionalism and an ode to craftsmanship. The geometry of Bolet is achieved through a simple change to the clay extrusion process. This makes it usable as both a stool and occasional side-table. Fired at a high temperature, it is able to withstand extreme changes in temperature, which makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Dip-glazed in traditional colours of clay from La Bisbal region, the hardness of its material is softened with a generous cork base and three holes on top make it easy to move around. It is utilitarian, local and warm. Bolet displays a new approach to a traditional process.
