Clara Niubò

Clara Niubò (1987, Casserres,) lives and works in Barcelona. She holds a degree in Product Design and a postgraduate degree in Children’s Illustration from the UAB, specifically the escuela de diseño y arte EINA, Barcelona. She was an Erasmus student at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague. She has a higher degree in Artistic Jewellery from the Escuela Massana, Barcelona. She has taken specialist courses in different jewellery and painting techniques at Massana Permanente, the Perill workshop, the Escuela Industrial de Artes y Oficios and the Jaime Diaz jewellery workshop.

She has been part of the ‘Joyas Sensacionales’ collective, coordinated by Sílvia Walz, and the ‘Quars d ’una’ collective, with jewellers Carla Garcia, Sandra Llusa and Maria Diez. She is currently part of the 7 Cats collective. Since 2012 she has participated in several national and international exhibitions: el Summer Festival, Galería Slavik, Viena; Graduate Show 2013, Galería Marzee, Holanda; Coordendas, Galerie Noel Guyomarc’h, Montreal; Clavant la llengua, al Konvent, Berguedà; Beyond Measure, Tal 20 Gallery, Munich; Holy tools, La joaillerie par Mazlo, París, y 7 Cats, 1 life, Galería Reverso, Lisboa, among others.
